Even though Barry’s Bagels is located about 10 minutes away from our house, we hadn’t really eaten there (Dave did as a kid). We stopped for lunch a little while back and tried a couple of their bagel sandwiches. I went with the bagel jr. corned beef sandwich (less meat) with tomato and bacon horseradish cream cheese on an asiago bagel. Dave had a veggie sandwich also on an asiago bagel with plain cream cheese.
The bagels on their own are wonderful with a nice chew and a soft interior. Their cream cheeses are equally as good, though I wish the bacon horseradish cream cheese packed more of a punch, which I kind of expected with horseradish in the name. The corned beef on my sandwich was sliced super thin and was very tender. Dave really enjoyed the veggie sandwich which included lettuce, tomato, green pepper, onions, and banana peppers.
They offer 14 different types of bagels and 9 different flavors of cream cheese. So even if we just ordered a bagel and cream cheese, there is enough variety to keep us going for a long time. Though I think I’d feel that way even if I ordered the same bagel everytime.
