We had a LivingSocial coupon to go to The Hungarian Rhapsody. I’ve been several times, but Dave has never been. I’m 50% Hungarian and grew up eating stuff cabbage, chicken paprikas, along with lots of yummy Hungarian desserts.
Dave ordered chicken paprikas with dumplings, it also came with a side salad. The dumplings were excellent, both of our favorites. Dave was a little, meh, about the chicken. We decided next time we would try to order just dumplings covered in paprkias sauce. I ordered pork palacsinta, which are Hungarian crepes filled with ground pork and covered in paprkias sauce, it also came with a side salad. The palacsinta were good, but I didn’t care for the filling. The meat was a bit chewy.
For dessert, we shared a slice of lemon pineapple torte and a pieces of kremes. The lemon pineapple torte was very moist and flavorful. Funny enough, Dave thought it tasted more like lemons and I thought it tasted more like pineapple. The kremes was fabulous. So rich. So creamy. We had money left in our coupon so we ordered a couple of pieces of kremes to go, so good. If you’re interested in trying kremes, they do sell it at Zingerman’s for $7/piece.
