Last week, I met with the ladies from my former exercise class for lunch in Farmington at Peterlin’s Restaurant and Bar. The restaurant is located in the strip mall on the southeast corner of Farmington Road and Nine Mile. It features a fairly large menu of sandwiches, salads, and entrees and has a full bar.
I ordered the Sante Fe chicken wrap which was served with their housemade potato chips. The sandwich included cheddar & mozzarella cheese, grilled chicken, sauteed peppers & onions, black beans, sweet corn, tomatoes, chipolte ranch and I added guacamole for a dollar extra. The sandwich was delicious, very moist and flavorful. I’m not a huge fan of potato chips, but their housemade chips are very, very good. They leave the skins on so they taste like a loaded potato skin and they’re cut extra thick so they have a great crunch.
Two of my friends tried the cherry chicken salad (mixed greens topped with dried cherries, mandarin oranges, cucumber, tomato, blue cheese, almonds, raspberry vinaigrette and grilled chicken) and they both enjoyed it. My other friend tried their macaroni and cheese and liked it too. It had a lot of smokey flavor due to the smoked Gouda, rather than bacon, and it also included sun-dried tomatoes and scallions, which was a bit unusual.
There were several things on the menu that caught my eye, so I will definitely be heading back. Check their website for specials, including buy one, get one specials as well as announcements on live music and trivia nights.
