Last Saturday, Dave and I had dinner with my sister, Megan, her husband, Jeremy, and our nephew, Henry at Bone Heads BBQ Food & Spirits in Willis, MI. The restaurant is located about 10 minutes off of US-23. Unfortunately, I didn’t think of blogging about the restaurant until we were on our way home, so no photos this time.
Megan and I had the House BBQ Salad. I had the barbeque chicken on mine and she had the pulled pork on hers. The salad was very good. It was a good entire-sized salad, but it wasn’t too big either. It had a really nice housemade BBQ ranch dressing with it along with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, black beans, and tortilla strips.
Dave ordered the macaroni and cheese, while good it was no where near as good as the mac ‘n cheese at Roast or Slow’s. Jeremy had the BBQ combo which included: ribs, chicken, pulled pork, and smoked brisket along with a side of mashed potatoes, baked beans, and a piece of cornbread. It was so big, he got two meals out of it! His favorite were the BBQ ribs. And Henry had baby food!
We also tried the deep fried pickle chips which were good. They were nice and crispy, but not greasy. They were served with ranch dressing, which is made in house (all of their dressings are). They had a quite a nice selection of desserts, including a huge cookie skillet, but we were all too full to try one. Maybe next time!
