Last Saturday, Megan (my sister), baby Henry,  Dave and I checked out Wasem Fruit Farm in Milan. Actually, first we went to Wiards Orchards in Ypsilanti Township and after disappointing donuts and preservative-filled cider, we headed over to Wasem’s.

Wasem’s was very busy and they were selling donuts as fast as they could make them. They offer plain, apple, blueberry, and pumpkin all available either plain, cinnamon and sugar or frosted. The warm apple cinnamon donuts were heavenly and a perfect compliment to the pure apple cider. FYI-their cider is not pasteurized, which is not a problem for me, but Megan couldn’t have any since she’s breastfeeding.

The fruit farm grows apples, tart cherries, red and black currants, gooseberries, peaches, plums, pears, raspberries and pumpkins. U-pick is available for their apples, raspberries, and pumpkins.

I would highly recommend checking out Wasem Fruit Farm, I’m already looking forward to our next visit!
