I had my first taste of the über popular French macaron from Cecilia’s Pastries at the Ann Arbor Farmer’s Market. At first I didn’t think they’d live up to all the hype, but they were divine. Making macrons takes precision and time which is why they are so expensive to buy. I’d like to hop on the bandwagon and try making some, it will probably be the most ambitious thing I’ve tried baking and I’m looking forward to it. It has been officially added to my Life List. I’m not sure what flavor to try first, maybe chocolate macarons from Annie’s Eats or pistachio macarons from Use Real Butter. Either way, I know I’ll be relying on this guide, Demystifying Macarons from Tarlette for guidance.
