There are a lot of crafts in Amish Country. I saw my favorite piece at the exit of a particularly large craft haven. With the pins as the sprinkles and a piece of felt for a cherry, this wool/felt pin cushion in the shape of a cupcake was delicious (if not edible). And if I didn’t already own three pin cushions (two are tomato shaped hand me downs from grandma and mom), this one would have made it’s way home with me.
This sweet little piece stuck with me all day. At another store I learned about its creator: Betz White. The pattern can be found in her book Warm Fuzzies. Or, if you are knee deep in other craft projects, you can purchase one through Betz’s shop on Etsy. It’s made of recycled sweaters.
It’s always fun to learn what inspires an artist. I’ll be keeping an eye on her blog.
